Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Pinglyra ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. The Service

Pinglyra provides passive, external website monitoring — uptime, SSL/TLS, DNS, email-security (SPF/DMARC) and security-header checks — together with alerting, an explainable risk score, public status pages and branded reporting. The Service runs read-only checks over the public internet; nothing is installed on your or your clients' servers.

3. Authorized use only

You may only monitor websites, domains and endpoints that you own or are explicitly authorized to monitor. You are responsible for having that authorization.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service to attack, overload, stress-test, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to any system.
  • Do not run vulnerability scans, intrusive probes, or active penetration testing through the Service — checks are passive and read-only.
  • Do not attempt to monitor or probe internal, private, loopback or otherwise restricted networks.
  • Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, or in violation of a third party's rights.

5. Accounts & security

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Where multi-factor authentication is required, you must complete it to access the application. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.

6. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices may be shown exclusive of applicable taxes. Plan limits (monitors, team members, status pages) are enforced. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but provide the Service "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. Monitoring results are provided on a best-effort basis and should not be your sole safeguard for critical systems.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinglyra is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for losses arising from missed, delayed or inaccurate alerts or checks. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or others. You may close your account at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
